Oh, using the word "flushing" as I did (in quotes),
was just a play on words ... not meant to be
taken real seriously.
You know how when you get something in your
eye, you're supposed to flush it with water?
One definition of flush is to "rinse, clean, or empty
with a liquid."

Was it flushing to remove the prohibition on alcohol?
