 I try and check my rain gauge every morning around 0600 or 0700. And
it's a good thing I checked when I did, cause the the gauge only holds 5
& 1/2 inches, and ha I stayed in bed any longer I would of missed the 24
hour amount period someone asked about last night. And the amount was
exactly 5 inches of rain from 0600 yesterday until 0600 this morning.
The wind during the night was just horrible, and now I have to take a
look to see how many of my ole growth douglas firs, if any were blown
over.

Now remember ... these amounts are only overnight totals. However. if we
get a significant cloudburst during the day ... I shall make note of it.
