Tom,

    Or should I say Tom!!!
As a member of the generation that was originally told it was
forbidden to have certain jobs because I was a female I have to take
exception to your expectations of Hillary. I take a view that is 180
degrees different. I think it is quite possible that we would all
know who Hillary is even if she didn't marry Bill. And it is quite
possible that she would have been better off without him.
One can never know things 'that might have been' but look at many
women who were famous or well know who either don't have husbands or
who had husbands but the husbands are fairly obscure to history.
Condi Rice is a recent one. She is just about a household name and
she isn't married. Clara Barton the red cross nurse. Does anybody
remember if she was even married? Susan B. Anthony? Madeleine
Albright? And those are just a few of the famous American women.
You're right that W is not the only person to use family influence
but I think you are wrong about Hillary.

Katie
PS Hillary is not my favorite in the primary, so I don't say these
things to bolster her.
