[Grovenet] Tired of the garbage

I've been told that everything gets picked up
every week now.
And, the orange box ... I think he means the old
recycling containers. They're sort of orange or
orange-red or something.
I like the last thing you suggest. Sell
advertising space!!

Besides joking about getting people to buy less
stuff which will be very
hard to do, I basically agree with you.
But what is the orange box? I haven't seen any
and I don't have one either.
My gripe is that I can never remember which can
is the one that only gets
picked up every other week? The grass clippings
or the recyclable trash? So
I always set out everything as my neighbors seem
to have the same memory
problems I do so I can't read their habits to
give me clues.
Maybe if we decide to see the beauty in the cans
and let their unsightly
look remind us that we are avoiding the even
uglier trash problem of filling
up more landfills with stuff that can be
recycled we'll feel better about
  the whole thing.

  Katie

PS. We could have everybody paint happy faces
on the sides of the
  cans.....or faux flowers....or wilderness
scenes...or sell the space for
  advertising!
