Back then my hair was blonde, could the sun have bleached it?
And based upon memory, I agree with the sentiment "... be thankful
that we do not have to pick crops in order to earn a living ..." It
was hard work and it sure made me realize how good the jobs I had
later could be. Hmmm?
On the other hand, if more of us were able to grow ( and pick ) our
own crops, maybe we would import less.
BTW, I didn't look at a thermometer, but this evening around 6:30 or
so, it sure felt good standing under a shade tree with a breeze blowing.
