And then there's the old war horse, who sleazed off from his badly
injured wife--car accident--to hook up with the current Mrs. John McCain
(Cindy).  He'll be speaking too at a national convention soon to come
our way.  And then he was also part of the Keating Five (and Cindy was
the "family bookkeeper" for that little mess...which turned out to be so
stressful that it led to her becoming a drug addict from 1989 to
1992...even to the point where she stole drugs from a charity she
founded, the American Voluntary Medical team). 

This is not quite as good a story as that of the great moral exemplar
from the Republicans, Newt Gingrich...but it's a pretty strong
competitor.
