Unfortunately, this is the way politics has always been throughout history and, I'm afraid, will continue to be in the future. We as humans want to be uplifted by hope and passionate optimism but keep getting dragged down by political machines hell-bent on repeatedly showing us all the faults, real or not, of the major party candidates. The more problems pointed out that aren't vigorously refuted means more doubt. I'm thinking Senator Kerry might agree with this statement.
And so Candidates spend the majority of their time fighting attacks and launching their own attacks while the issues we want real answers to wait on the sidelines, ultimately never getting in the game. And the cycle repeats itself over and over and over and over and . . .

Well said.
Do you suppose we could convince McCain that the statement is equally
true about his campaign?
