I wonder if the whole PUMA thing might actually be just another
creation of the Republican Noise Machine. What actual proof have we
that all these letter-writers claiming to be former Hillary Democrats
who now intend to vote for McCain, ever were anything of the sort?
Their letters to the editor all seem oddly similar-- and oddly devoid
of rational thought. For my part, I refuse to believe that many
people can be capable of such a uniform snit. Seems much more likely
that many or most of them are loyal party-line Republicans, following
a script from the Committee on Dirty Tricks in an attempt to split
the progressive female vote.
