I know what you mean about everyday people in the White House, Muriel. : )
At least Obama has a good deal more experience on anational (even international) level, since Palin has none, plus he has someone with even more experience (Biden) to watch his back. Obama and Biden are also at least *so* much closer to everyday people than anyone we've had since probably Carter.

I have always wanted to put just plain everyday people in the White House ,, only thing is the foreign stuff,, but for USA I bet any of you would do just fine.
