I do suppose the leanings of Pres. Obama's court
picks would be to leave their religious ideologies out of
court decisions.

The neo-con synonym for abortion is "infanticide," but
that's an actual fear-inducing twist on infanticide's traditional
definition, which is "killing an infant or child after its birth."
They've also re-defined "infant" to mean anything from a zygote
to the end of babyhood.

Personally, I doubt I could go through with an abortion,
but do know what pregnancy, labor, childbirth, recovery
& continuing care of the infant through adulthood --
multiple times -- is.  That inspires me to know that other
women (or couples) who live in different situations,
conditions, circumstances should be able to choose for
themselves.

Now, Sarah Palin believes in banning abortion even in
cases of rape or incest.  To me, that shows that (1) she's
not capable of empathy with other women, or (2) she
feels she must enforce some religious tenet on others --
which is not what religious freedom or separation of church
and state are about.

Yes, she should have her religious freedom, but it mustn't
diminish that of others.  Her court picks most likely would
be those that insist on their religious beliefs trumping the
Constitution -- not what we need, as we *all* should be
able to make our *own* religious decisions.
