Wow! In this election year, with Tuesday nearly
on us, what could be more
appropriate that confused Ground Hogs ;-)
How much snow do you have in Forest Grove?
Lots of hail, lots of rain, but no snow here. We
did get 'dusted' with a bit
of snow a few days ago - just enough to make the
ground and streets white,
then another round of hail came within the hour
and iced it over,
immediately followed by rain that melted
everything again.
We've had 1.25" of rain over the past 24
hours(1). For several days it's
been coming squall lines with perhaps half an
hour of sunshine in between,
so when it rains it really *rains*!!
NOAA has a winter storm warning out for the
coast from Puget Sound to Los
Angeles.

Happy Groundhog Day. :-)
I've heard that Punxsutawney Phil did not see
his shadow
[6 more weeks of winter!],
but that others (Staten Island Chuck, General
Beauregard Lee
of Georgia, for example) did see their shadows
[early spring!] ...
Split decision. :-D
Snowing away here ...
