conservative from " tending or disposed to maintain existing views, 
conditions, or institutions,  marked by moderation or caution"  to
  " reactionaries, bigots, chickenhawks and the assorted other frauds and 
fakers. "

I wish both sides would just grow up and limit discussions to substantive 
content.
