Were you one of those Mac users that pulled out their Visa for the new
Leopard OSX 10.5 which was really nothing more than a service pack but cost
more than a license for Vista?

Vista Home Premium - $95

I know you're just making a play on words based on the name, but the humor
is a little lost considering how much more expensive it is to own and
maintain Apple computers compared to their PC counterparts. A good example
is the new Dell laptop I purchased recently. It cost about $2,600. An
almost identically equipped MacBook Pro would have cost me at least $3,400,
plus some extra for the second AC adaptor, second battery, headphones,
bluetooth mouse, and carrying case that came with my Dell.

To set the record straight, my upgrade to Vista has been almost entirely
painless (no system upgrade is ever completely painless). I timed it with a
needed machine upgrade. I did not have to upgrade any of the accessories I
was using with my previous laptop. I did not have to update any of my
software. I see many Mac users chanting what they hear from Apple and on
the switch commercials on TV. However, it's all pure marketing FUD.

In fact, to drive the point of this ridiculous tact Apple has taken against
Vista, my father recently purchased two new desktops, both with Vista. He
was concerned that he'd have to replace the *5* year old HP printer.
However, once he got the desktop setup and the printer attached, Vista
simply asked to grab the driver online, and the printer works perfectly.

Curious,
