Subject: [Grovenet] Communication with Forest Grove Parents. I hopefully have found something useful

I created a forum that us the parents of Students and Concerned Community
members can go to discuss what they are
telling us each individually, and see if we can connect it all together so we
can better help all the students engaged in learning, keeping them challanged
and encouraged.
http://forestgroveparentscommunity.freeforums.org/<http://forestgroveparentscommunity.freeforums.org/>

Its just a regular forums structure. Right now everyone whether or not you
make a log in can read the forums, and post to the Welcome area. However I put
membership requirement on the rest of the boards to keep out unwanted spam
posting from solicitors. Also there are adds on the webpage, placed by the
service to provide the free service for us.

I welcome everyone who wants to stay connected with the schools. I encourage
strongly parents of Alumni to come here too because there are a lot of us first
kid parents who's kids were almost an experiment of the 6 period day from
NAMS. We could really use your wisdom and experience you gained while your
child was going thru the school.

I am the Holly who is going to work on getting on site council for NAMS, and
maybe even the HS. Apparently we are really low in parent involvement in ALL
of the schools. Last year I was to intimidated by the school Admin/system to
get involved, that isnt going to happen this year. They will send out
communication or have to deal with me in their office regularly. Last year we
(parents) didn't get a NAMS newsletter all year. Apparently the
readerboard in front of the school was all we needed. /eyeroll

Hope to see you all on the board and I don't know if this email is in
violation of the grovenet, and if it is I am sorry
