Invitation to Volunteer for ARTrageous August Afternoons@ Your Forest Grove Library

Greetings-   

The Friends of the Library and the Forest Grove Public Arts Commission are sponsoring ARTrageous August Afternoons@ Your Library, every :

TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS IN AUGUST, 2:15-3:15pm in the children's non-fiction area of the library!

We are looking for a couple volunteers (13 or older), per session, that enjoy working with children and doing crafty things. 

The participants will be at least 7 years old, and children under 10 are required to have an adult with them.  The activities will mostly be based on Klutz books. There will be two activities offered simultaneously at each session. 

Sessions are limited to 20 participants with no preregistration required. 

Volunteers will get snacks.    

Some of the activities to be offered include: paper airplanes, paper flowers, fairies, picture tags, tree house bugs, handmade cards, hemp bracelets, spaceships from cards, and mini-books.

She will be getting the supplies together, doing most of the prep., and can teach you what you need to know for any of the activities beforehand.
