[Grovenet] Help! Installation of drip watering system.

I'm hoses in two sizes - both thin-walled black plastic - the smaller 
one with fitted connectors and terminators that drip at calibrated rates.

My troubles arise at the point I'm trying to join the larger, feeder 
hoses to the main water supply. The battery powered switch has a 
coupling that is standard hose thread. The coupling that looks to fit at 
the end of the feeder hose leaks badly. I'm not confident I'm assembling 
it right or have all the necessary pieces. I've tried thread tape, hose 
washers, etc.
