These plays were put on by Yast, the summer training arm of theater in the group. Two groups will perform two short performances.

8 and under perform a one act play that the Director (Geanna Van Dyk) , a regular at theater in the Grove productios, wrote with the children to have parts for all the ages and personalitites of kids they had in their Jr. Camp.  So they write and practice this play in about nine sessions until perfomance! But if I remember one of my son's plays like this a few years ago, it turned out pretty funny and they loved doing it.

The other play is for older children and this year they are doing a musical (new attempt) called Honk Jr.  It is a 1993 Broadway adaption of the "Ugly Duckling Story."  The play works well for children in the roles and children in the audience, so if ou know any children free that afternoon, tell them to come along.
