Four more years!

I was looking for a cartoon to demonstrate the concept and instead  
found an old one from Harper's Weekly from the 1872.  The real story  
is also interesting, but I was taken by the presence of the  
Confederate South, States' Rights, the KKK and a corrupt political  
machine presenting themselves as the Grand Old Party.  Back then it  
was fighting words to make such a presentation.  And the cartoon was  
published in a Republican periodical to lampoon the concept.  Now,  
the Republicans argue about who is "most conservative".
