There's a Washington Times on-line article out today ( http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/06/04/AR2008060402360.html )about the incredibly positive international response to Obama being the presumptive Democratic Party nominee. 'Course Israel isn't necessarily all too pleased but most every other country is.
I have no doubt the Democratic Party will pound away on the point that electing Senator McCain means 4 more years of the Bush policies while the Republican Party will pound away with the question of "Can we really trust our country in the inexperienced hands of a 1st term Senator?"
On a related political note, are we going to be subjected for the next 5+ months to daily Gordon Smith political ads? I fear we are at the precipice of endless campaigning.

It will be an interesting and exciting time as this campaign goes
through the summer and fall.
There are so many international and global and national and local
issues piling up that it really does feel like we are at a crossroads
for both the US and civilization in general.
If ever an election really did matter, the one coming in November is
the one.
