[Grovenet] Cycling through Cornelius

The easy solution would've been to keep the regular sidewalk and where they have a bulb out to leave a gap between the sidewalk and the bulb out, allowing bikes to cycle through the gap.

I think Cornelius is stuck following either state or federal rules on this.
My son broke a bike frame on one of those bulb outs. He didn't see it coming
until it was too late and the other option was to be crushed under a Tri-met
bus. No, I am not a fan of them.

As a borderline cyclist I am dismayed to see what Cornelius is doing. Those
"bulb outs" will make turning for longer vehicles, or vehicles towing, very
difficult. Those same bulb outs make it suicidal to ride in the bike lanes.
Just about the time a car expects you to stay out of the traffic lane a
bicycle will have to merge back into the lane to avoid the curbs.
Or a cyclist will have to ride smart and "take the lane" throughout the
Cornelius "downtown" as the are legally allowed to do in this circumstance.
All this while regional government is looking into making a bike lane from
MAX in Hillsboro out to FG then turning to Banks where it will link with the
Linear Trail to Stub Stewart.
Way to welcome bicycle tourists and commuters Cornelius.
