[Grovenet] A hidden gem in the grove

I've heard Marie Callendar's makes a pretty good Pumpkin Pie, though I can't provide my opinion as I haven't eaten any from there.
I had an Aunt who made a Chiffon pumpkin pie that was the lightest, fluffiest concoction I ever had the pleasure of sinking a fork into. To this day, 40 years later, my mouth STILL waters when I think of it.
My father also loved to make pumpkin pie though w/his you never knew whether the main ingredient was pumpkin, some other squash, or even carrots. Why carrots? Well . . . on brother-in-law hated carrots. In fact he hated them so much if you told him he was allergic to all other foods save carrots he'd probably starve to death. But this same fellah loved pumpkin pie. So being the jester he was, my father made 2 pumpkin pies from carrots, with their look, aroma and taste being 100% identical to pumpkin pie. After my brother-in-law ate 1/4 of the pie, my father couldn't contain himself any longer and told my brother-in-law the truth. I've never seen a man turn white so quickly and run for the bathroom. And until the day my father passed away, he needled my poor brother-in-law relentlessly about the "carrot" pumpkin pie.
