I would also say "if Obama wins" because it isn't a "done deal". The
votes haven't been cast, counted, contested, & confirmed.
McCain/Palin could still become the next Administration. I would
hope that everyone who opposes that alternative turns out to vote.
Obama/Biden could still become the next Administration. I would hope
that everyone who supports that alternative turns out to vote.
My bias is ... Heck, I don't got no bias. I am unabashed in my
support for the calm, thoughtful candidate. I don't claim to be
unbiased on this election, and I haven't been that way since the 2000
campaign. The Republican policies don't benefit me. I don't make $1
million or more per year. Whereas I do drink the water, and I do
breathe the air. I eat food and I have children who need a future.
I don't need a federal government that believes it is okay to
contaminate our world and destroy our environment.
I was doing some reading, stuff about "people fed", "water", "safe
and secure environment", and the Bush invasion of Iraq.

February 25, 2003: Top Army General Says ‘Several Hundred Thousand
Soldiers’ Will Be Needed to Secure Iraq
General Eric Shinseki, the Army Chief of Staff, tells the Senate
Armed Services Committee that “something on the order of several
hundred thousand soldiers” will be needed to secure post-invasion
Iraq. “We’re talking about post-hostilities control over a piece of
geography that’s fairly significant, with the kinds of ethnic
tensions that could lead to other problems. And so it takes a
significant ground- force presence to maintain a safe and secure
environment, to ensure that people are fed, that water is
distributed, all the normal responsibilities that go along with
administering a situation like this.” [ASSOCIATED PRESS, 3/25/2003;

Also Gen. Anthony Zinni(ret.), Bush's Middle East mediator, warned
that there could be a prolonged, difficult aftermath to an Iraq war.
And Lawrence Lindsey, the chairman of the National Economic Council,
suggested that the Iraq war could cost $100-$200 billion.
McCain may claim Foreign policy credentials, but in 2003 he didn't
display any of them. His cost was off. And, his "surge" was four
years late.
