I think not, but what do I know?

I don't know which airline she used, Alaska Airlines has no
restrictions on travel by pregnant women, while other airlines do.
So, she may not have broken any rules. Since delivery of second,
third, fourth, or fifth children is frequently faster than the
delivery of the previous child, having the water "break" should be a
strong indicator that delivery is coming soon. A consultation with a
doctor would be reasonable before traveling.

I would guess that Governor Palin said a prayer, put the issue into
the Lord's hands, and went ahead with her life. After all, what is
the harm in delivering a baby at 10,000 feet? Except that there may
be no medical facilities or personnel in case of complications. And
the crew and passengers can just deal with her event. No one said
that the governor was overly concerned with offending or
inconveniencing others.

Was there a risk to the baby? The governor appears to run a faith
based life, so that must be the Lord's problem. As I wrote earlier,
I am not content to put my future into the hands of a President who
takes unnecessary risks while turning the planning over to the Lord.
Unplanned actions take America into places like Iraq without an exit
strategy.

So far, hurricane Gustav has pulled President George Bush from the
Republican convention, reminded voters of the inept handling of
hurricane Katrina, and pulled the wind from the sails of the opening
session of the convention. We see sunshine for Democrats and storm
clouds for Republicans. I see it as an interesting coincidence, but
if someone believes that the Lord is intervenes in daily events, this
sure looks like a negative divine comment on the Republican candidates.

Don't expect consistency from Conservative Vice Presidents. Dick
Cheney loves his daughter Mary and her baby Samuel even though she is
openly lesbian and conservative values paint lesbians as consciously
evil. Sarah Palin loves her daughter Bristol and her coming
grandchild even though she conceived in sin outside of marriage.
Conservative politicians may know how to love those who are near to
them, but that don't apply to those outside of their circle, or to
the content of the Republican Party platform.
