[Grovenet] Rules are for somebody else

Being a Dad myself I agree we can do a lot. And yes, if McCain is elected President with Palin then becoming VP, Palin will have tons of help. But I think her focus would be oh-so-much more on her "job" than her family. Money can't buy time w/family.

I disagree with you about Palin caring for the kids*. I believe that
the dad can handle that. Maybe not the same as she would but dads are
at least as adequate as moms especially when there is plenty of money
and the second parent is still around for emotional support.
But regardless of who looks after the kids I agree with the
conclusion. She will make choices that benefit only people like
herself and not the country as a whole.

*Palin will also have lots of flexibility in her schedule. The kids
can come to work with her and they will usually be able to travel
with her, especially the little ones. They won't have to be away from
her as much as you were away from yours and they will have body
guards all the time. The body guards won't have to do child care but
the parents won't have to worry about them wandering off and getting
lost or a stranger luring them into a car. They know first aid and
any guard worth his pay grade would probably step in if they saw the
kid playing with a sharp object and nobody else was watching.
