[Grovenet] Another anti-science Republican screed ? ? ? ?

Governor Jindal did exactly as the Democrats did when Dubya was POTUS, and as all other opposition party personnel have been doing throughout our history and will continue to do in the future: pick out and make very visible certain aspects of the other party's plan you believe will sow the seeds of dissent in the majority of the general populus. There are plenty of bacon bits (aka "pork") for both sides of our two-party system buried in the stimulus "salad".

Republicans, or at least the majority of Republicans in Congress, have no other choice but to object, obfuscate and stone-wall in hopes President's Obama's and the Democratic majority plans will either fail, take too long to implement or not provide enough stimulus to improve our economy in both the short and long term.

A majority 2-party system has historically been good for our Democratic country, but this is one of those times where it'd be better if Republicans would at least move their oars in the same direction as Democrats, even if they aren't pulling on the oars.

Hmmm....yet another R governor who is a little "science challenged."

Louisiana, however, is not exactly volcano territory...perhaps he's being just a wee bit provincial?
