I've noticed the substantial decrease in mileage with my Escape Hybrid
when it gets cold as well; as for my EV, there is a noticeable drop in
battery performance, but the main problem isn't EV related at all: the
Geo Metro my Solectria is based on is just plain crap on slick roads.
Maybe it's the high mileage tires it has, but if it so much as looks
slick, you have to be super gentle to keep from spinning out where the
Escape (which in itself is a lot worse than my previous Explorer used to
be) barely notices a difference.
