[Oeva-list] EVs in the winter?

Kristen,
My Zap car handles pretty well in the snow - at least a little snow. 
The batteries do get cold and range gets noticeably shorter.    
Example: In the summer, 14 miles used approx 14 volts.  Just today, 8 
miles used 13.8 volts. That's somewhere like 40% less range. I use it 
for short runs (less than 5-8 miles) anyway, so driving habits have not 
really changed.
