The Ford Think is classified as a neighborhood electric vehicle (or low speed vehicle). Ford made 7500 of these electric cars in 2001-2 and then sold the company back to Norway, where they still are manufactured. It goes 26 miles per hour (there is a speed controller which can be reset so that it can go 37 mph). It has six batteries and can go 25 miles per charge with good batteries. My batteries need to be replaced in the near future and it currently goes 10-12 miles on a charge. The new batteries will cost -1800. It is registered in Oregon with tags that are good till 8/09. It has all the original equipment except for a new charger. It shows 2200 miles now but was used previously as a golf cart in a gated community and the former owner said he drove it back and forth to the golf course 2 times a week for a total of 7 miles each trip, for 4 years. It plugs into any standard outlet. I had it trailered up here from California for $300 extra and put a rain cover on it which cost $500. Everything is in good shape in the car. There was a crack in the fiberglass fender when I bought it which you cannot see. There is also a scratch on one rear fender and a small cut in the passenger seat which was repaired. It is licensed and registered in Oregon and is legal on any road posted 35 or less as the speed limit. It has seat belts, turn signals, lights front and rear, mirror, all the things that it needs to be legal. Have fun driving again.

Actually they should be saying unknown miles. The dash has an instrument called the Cluster which shows the miles. If you push a button on the cluster the miles are reset to zero. If you put in a new cluster the miles are shown as zero. On my car I know what the miles really are. Also, the more you use the car and then plug it in when not used, the longer the batteries last.
