[Oeva-list] OEVA September 10th Election Meeting: 7pm at WTC

Hello OEVA folks,

I hope your summer is going well.  We have an especially important
meeting coming up next Thursday, September 10th at the World
Trade Center at 1st and Salmon in SW Portland.

This meeting is special because we'll be electing new officers for the
organization.  This is your chance to stand up and support your local
EV organization.

This group doesn't exist without your support, so I'm asking you to
step up and consider one of the officer or board member positions.

Attached below is a list of officers and their descriptions.
You must be a paid OEVA member to participate in the voting
process.  If you are not a member, you may sign up on our website
or talk with Ray Blackburn, our treasurer at the meeting.

We'll meet at 7:00pm for show and tell and promptly gather in the
meeting room at 7:30.

Agenda: 

7:30 
- Welcome
- Review past EVents and upcoming EVents
- Distribution of officer nomination forms
- Jeff or Gary will describe what happened at Plug-In 2009

8:00
- Begin the elections process - members only allowed to attend,
  we will start with the Chair officer
- If we have time: updates on member EV projects/purchases 

9:00 
- End the meeting

Again, this all-volunteer organization relies on you to step up
and make it happen.  Please be a part of the OEVA!

OEVA Officer Nomination Form

Chair: Sends out the reminders for the monthly meetings.  Runs the monthly
meetings.  Serves as primary contact to outside interests.
Organizes board members and delegates tasks.

Volunteer/Nominate:________________________________________________________

Co-Chair: Reserves the monthly room at the World Trade Center.  Runs the
monthly meeting when the Chair is unavailable

Treasurer: Keeps track of the OEVA finances.  Maintains non-profit status.
Keeps membership roster and collects dues.  Issues checks for events.

Ongoing EVents Chair:  Takes in requests to show electric vehicles
at various non-OEVA events.  Informs the members of such events and
works with webmaster to post them on the website.

EV Awareness Day Chair: Plans and coordinates our large, annual EVent
involving OEVA members and possibly EV vendors

Charging Stations Chair: Keeps in tune with local charging infrastructure
coordinates OEVA members to advocate for charging infrastructure.

QuarterMaster: Holds onto any group equipment and loans it out to
members to help with their EV projects:

Historian: Keeps track of historical information about the OEVA as we
progress through the years
