While the Illinois state team had a battery fire with their NIMH batteries,
the A123 LiFePO cells in the OSU team are staying much cooler than the other
competitors, according to my neighbor, mother of a co-captain of the OSU
team.  OSU picked up A123 as a sponsor after their vehicle fire in Corvallis
last year, and is happy to use the safer, cooler cells from A123.
