Here's an idea for the consipracy buffs:

What if one or more of the charging networks is actually bankrolled by
someone with interest in oil or petroleum powered vehicles.. and the
charging networks are "just barely reliable enough" to keep their
contracts.. and will eventually be priced so high that they arn't
an economical replacement for gas cars.. just to frustrate the EV
market into a tailspin?

How better than to have a bunch of "stranded" EV drivers explaining to their
collegues that their EV didn't "get them to the church, on time".

It wouldn't be the first time.. Remember when GM bought up all the
trolley car companies, and proptly dug up the tracks and burned the
rolling stock.. so that folks HAD to buy cars?

There is a plot worthy of both the Chamber of Commerce AND the Republican
Party all at the same time.. Add that to the screwball road tax plans being
cooked up, and you have a match made in... Well.. you know where!
Bring on the "closed doors" and "the smoke filled back rooms"!
