Hello All,

Jan 08, 2014

On behalf of the Oregon & Chapter of the American Public Works Association, I would like to extend an invitation to all public agencies in the US and Canada to attend the 2014 Green Transportation Conference (GTC) for Public Agencies, being held at the Portland Airport Sheraton Hotel in February 2014.

Oregon is rapidly becoming a national leader in the alternate powered vehicle field, and the Oregon Chapter of the American Public Works Association is proud to partner with TransEnergy Solutions, in presenting this timely conference, bringing rapidly evolving technology to the public works professionals that serve our nations communities, providing information and education of great value to the Public Works community.

While TransEnergy Solutions has presented several Green Transportation Conferences in the US and Canada, this is the first one specifically designed to help provide public agencies information on the current policies, funding programs, facility needs, training, and the most current technology advances in vehicle and equipment applications to assist public agencies in developing green fleet strategies.

This 3-day conference will have presentations by the national leaders in the alternative powered vehicle field, including the current innovations in Propane, Electric, Natural Gas, including renewable Natural Gas (RNG), and Hybrids including Hydraulics. Attendees will have over 40 vehicles and pieces of equipment to inspect and test drive, including passenger cars; light, medium, and class 8 heavy - duty trucks; transit, shuttle, and school buses.

Attendees will gain the knowledge they need to act quickly to implement these new technologies, learn information about policies driving alternate powered vehicle initiatives, current innovations, funding, vehicle applications, retrofit technologies, staff training, and facility needs.

Exhibitors will include local/regional non-profits and government partners such as Clean Cities Coalitions, the Environmental Protection Agency, Departments of Transportation & Energy, as well as Industry Associations. Many major companies involved with the alternative fuels vehicle industry will be on hand, including: original equipment manufacturers, fuel tank suppliers, infrastructure companies, gas and electric utilities, conversion companies and fuel suppliers.

Tours of the Advanced Transportation Technology Center at Linn Benton Community College and the City of Wilsonville’s current natural gas fueling facility will be available and you are encouraged to register early, as tour spaces are limited. More information is available at www.transenergysolutions.com

Public Agency fleet managers and communities, throughout the US and Canada will be in attendance. It will be a great chance to network and learn from your peers what they have done and are planning.

The Oregon Chapter of the APWA and Trans Energy Solutions look forward to seeing you at the Public Agency GTC in Portland in February 2014.
