Greetings EV Folk!

 

I will be putting up a photo album from this past Sunday’s Grand Floral
Rhododendron Festival Parade in Florence (home of not one but two EV
stations!) on the web, but until then a highlight is attached.   What can
rhodys do for EVs?  You’ll soon see—very pretty!

 

Major thanks to Gary of Hillsboro for driving all the way down for the event
with his beautiful Tesla S!   And to Dave in Toledo, for loaning us his
Nissan LEAF, which he later said was like “sending your teenaged daughter on
a first date”  --GULP!   (We understand completely, Dave, and took good care
of it—even garaged it for a night.)  And to Debbie of Lincoln Beach for
helping to coordinate myriad details!

 

We had three LEAFs and Gary’s Tesla with our ICE bucket truck bringing up
the rear.  Lots of positive comments and thumbs-up from folks along the
parade route!  (My hub decided listening to AC/DC throughout the parade was
the most appropriate accompaniment to his LEAF chauffeuring duties.
Fortunately, the LEAF is well-insulated, so parade-watchers were unaware.)

 

 

Next up:

 

The Reedsport Memorial Day Parade this Monday to celebrate Ashley’s new
CHAdeMO station there.   We’ll be staging at noonish, the parade launches at
1 p.m.  Theme is “Past, Present, and Future” which we fit into ever so
nicely, eh?!  

 

All EVs are welcome to join us!  Details:
