I just got off the phone with Royal Moore Nissan in Hillsboro. Here's how
it went:

Me: Do you have the 3G modems in stock?
Them: No, you'll need to bring in the car so we can make sure that you need
this part.
Me: I have a 2011 Leaf. I need it. There is no question.
Them: You'll need to bring the car in so we can make sure it has not been
installed already.
Me: This part was just recently made available. It has not been installed
already.
Them: You'll need to bring the car in so we can read the VIN and make sure
to order the right part.
Me: I can tell you the VIN number right now.
Them: We have to read it from the car.
Me: I have taken the car in there several times. You should have it on
record there. Can you just order the part and then I can go in one time
when it is ready to be installed?
Them: No, you'll have to make an appointment to bring the car in so we can
order the right part to fit your car.

So I need two appointments to get one part installed. This is the kind of
'great' service that made me stop going to Beaverton Nissan. I am already
not happy that I have to pay $200 and spend my time on this when it is all
because Nissan made a poor choice of wireless devices.

Regards,
Pat
