[Local events] Jason Weiss on Steve Lacy

Last year, Duke University Press published Conversations, a collection 
of thirty-four interviews with Steve Lacy, conducted over a forty-five 
year period (1959-2004). Conversations also contains photographs, 
scores, and brief writings by Lacy.

Jason Weiss, editor of Conversations, will make three appearances in 
Portland at the beginning of April to talk about the book and about 
Lacy's life and career:

Jason Weiss is the author of The Lights of Home: A Century of Latin 
American Writers in Paris, and the forthcoming novel Faces by the 
Wayside, and the editor of Back in No Time: The Brion Gysin Reader.
