from Cinema Project:

Join Cinema Project tonight and tomorrow for a history lesson in Bay
Area experimental media. Tonight's presentation highlights 16mm film
work from the 1940s and 1950s--including the1953 found footage collage
Odds and Ends which pokes fun at the Beat culture of the time and
Christopher Maclaine's The End photographed by Jordan Belson. Wednesday
night's line up includes a taste of early video with Loren Sears's
Loops, "an unrelenting barrage of pulsing color" and some video feedback
with Moog sythnesizer sounds from Skip Sweeney's Koto Feedback & Moog
Vidium. Curator Steve Seid and filmmaker/video artist Loren Sears will
be in attendance!

Radical Light is also going to the Northwest Film Center on Thursday May
19th and Friday May 20th! Programs include THE SIXTIES and PUNK,
ATTITUDINAL: FILM AND VIDEO, 1977 TO 1987. For more information, see
nwfilm.org.

Steve Seid will be reading at the Heathman Hotel Library from the book
"Radical Light: Alternative Film & Video in the San Francisco Bay Area"
on May 19th.
