from John Berendzen:

Liminal <http://www.liminalgroup.org/archive>is holding auditions for
female singers to be a part of a music-theatre-performance installation
based on the language of Gertrude Stein
<http://endzen.com/stein/OneDancing/One%20Dancing.rtf>. Ideal
candidates have strong voice training (in any tradition), the ability to
read music, and a good ear - as well as a willingness to use these
skills in unorthodox and uncharted ways in a context of exploration.

No prepared material is required. This will be a group audition in a
workshop format. Please bring one head shot or other photo, and a resume.

*Audition date and location:
*Monday, January 30, 7-10pm
Imago Theatre
17 SE 8th

There will be three evening performances, March 22-24. There is no
compensation available for this collaborative opportunity.

Liminal <http://www.liminalgroup.org/archive>performance group is an
extended network of performing, visual, literary, and conceptual artists
working at the boundaries of their mediums.

*/Liminal presents Gertrude Stein/*is an interdisciplinary performance
installation happening in March in Portland, OR, as a part of the March
Music Moderne 2012
<http://www.marchmusicmoderne.org/2012-schedule/>festival. Celebrating
the musicality of Stein's language, and the body of music and art that
has been inspired by her work, /Gertrude Stein/ brings together artists
from music, dance, theatre, film, visual and literary arts. The evening
is a multi-room durational performance experience, in which the audience
may come and go as they like amongst the many simultaneous worlds.

John Berendzen <http://endzen.com/sounds.html>is composing the original
music for voices, and Camille Cettina <http://camillecettina.com/>leads
the movement direction.
