*About*/**/*Kerry Davis*
A visual artist working with a variety of mixed media and photography,
Kerry Davis's current assemblages are wry compositions highlighting the
interplay between Western morality and capitalist consumer culture. In
appropriating and recontextualizing iconic imagery, found objects and
text, Davis creates sardonic juxtapositions and visual puns.
Davis studied photography & filmmaking at PSU, PCC and Oregon College of
Art and Craft. He works in many photographic formats such as pinhole,
photograms and digital, using contact printing and alternative
processes. His works have shown at 12×16 Gallery, Portland Art Center,
Gallery Homeland, and other galleries in Portland and the Pacific Northwest.
