*Maryrose Larkin* works as a freelance researcher in Tucson, AZ; her
recent books include /The Identification of Ghosts/ (Chax) and
/Marrowing/ (Airfoil). A founding member of the Spare Room reading
series, she is co-editor, with Sarah Mangold, of FLASH+CARD, a chapbook
and ephemera poetry press, and an occasional participant in Language
Master based performances. Maryrose keeps her friends close and her
muses closer.

*Susan M. Schultz* has lived in Hawai'i for a quarter century; she's
author of several books of poetry and poetic prose, including two
volumes of /Dementia Blog/ and four of /Memory Cards/. Her new book is
/Memory Cards: Thomas Traherne Series/ from Talisman Press. In her free
time, she cheers for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

*David Abel* is the proprietor of Passages Bookshop and a founding
member of the Spare Room reading series. This coming winter the Black
Rock Press at the University of Nevada, Reno, will publish his artist's
book /Selected Durations/, and two other collections of experimental
work are also on the horizon: /Eclipse/ from Couch Press, and /Sequitur
Her/ from press-press-pull.

*from **/cure fraction/*

the stranger

in the margins
/soft & rooted/

her ideas
wandering

as is her habit

her house
has eaten me
& kept me in awe

*Maryrose Larkin*

*for Bill Berkson*

the blinds go up and
afternoon sun
swallows your scatter

the ‘theme’ is
in quotes so the enigma
is no surprise

pieces of time bulk up
on either side of the moment
you split

so many drawn and dancing hands
gathered
in your shadow

*David Abel*
