March's Fo Po Poetry at Backstory Books will be dazzling, with local
writerrs and reading organizers Leah Stenson and Sam Lohmann joined by
novelist, poet and former publisher David Memmott from LaGrande. The words
starts crisply at 7, with host dan raphael.

Leah Stenson is the author of two chapbooks, Heavenly Body and The
Turquoise Bee and Other Love Poems, published by Finishing Line Press in
2011 and 2014, respectively; a regional editor of Alive at the Center:
Contemporary Poems from the Pacific Northwest (Ooligan Press, 2013) and
co-editor of Reverberations from Fukushima (Inkwater Press, 2014). Her
full-length poetry book, Everywhere I Find Myself was published by WordTech
Communications’ Turning Point imprint in December of 2017. She serves on
the board of Tavern Books.

Sam Lohmann lives as a parent, librarian, and poet in the Portland area,
mainly up and down I-205 between Foster-Powell and Mt. Vista. His books and
chapbooks include Day Use Area (Couch Press, 2013), Unless As Stone Is (eth
press, 2013), Stand on this picnic bench and look north (Publication
Studio, 2011), and most recently New Kind of Neighborhood (Great Fainting
Spells, 2017), written in collaboration with Paul Maziar.

David Memmott is a poet, digital artist, novelist and former publisher. His
book of poems, Lost Transmissions, included a poem that was a finalist for
the Spur Award. His latest book is a novel, Canned Tuna (Redbat Books,
2017) set in the Pacific Northwest around the Vietnam War.
