You can see from the photos that this japanese maple is distinctive. Spring leaves whitish green with reddish overtones and dark green veins. The red color deepens in sunlight. Summer seeds a bright scarlet. This is one of the few japanese maples with striped bark. Spectacular fall color. Slow growing but can eventually reach 16'. Origin Japan before 1960.
