A tricolor Japanese maple with leaves of green, creamy-yellow, and pinkish-purple.  Young twigs are red. Grows upright at a moderate rate to about 12'. Good in containers. A relatively recent development from Japan in 1967. Full sun or partial shade is fine. Zones: USDA 6; Sunset 2-10, 12, 14-24, Alaska-3.
