An
easy to grow japanese maple with outstanding color. Grows well in partial
shade but full sun is ok too. Not only are the leaves attractively
colored, but the bark also carries variegation of creamy white and pink.
New growth ranges from almost pure white to bright purplish-pink, all with
irregular patches of green. Twigs on new growth are scarlet red.
Grows well in containers and would make a nice bonsai with the colorful
bark. Fall color reddish-maroon. 15-20'. Zones: USDA 6; Sunset 2-10,
12, 14-24, Alaska-3.
