The Compact Concolor or White Fir is a slow growing version of the graceful
conifer native to the Rocky Mountains. Color is a cobalt blue throughout
the year, although perhaps more intense in winter. Completely hardy,
it needs lots of sun (at least 6 hours per day) for best color and compact
growth. Average soil is fine and it is drought tolerant when established.
These plants are grafted onto Balsam Fir.
They will grow 3-6 inches per year and require little or
no pruning. Zones 3-7
River Rock Nursery is a retail, mail order nursery, also open daily.
