Growing more slowly and blooming more shyly than it's 'green' parent, this plant makes up for it with eye-catching leaves: bright red in spring and early summer, golden yellow in fall.  Best color with at least 6 hours of sun, average but not soggy soil.  This small tree is certainly no pansy.  20-30', Zones 4-9.
