You may copy/distribute it as much as you like so long as it is not copied or distributed for profit, or as part of a commercial product.

The documentations and scripts files can only be altered for your personal use. If you think you could add some major upgrade, please contact me to include it in the official release.

This program is supplied 'as is' with no guarantee of its suitability for any purpose. I will not be held responsible for any damage arising from the use or misuse of this software.

Shareware

The w3perl package is SHAREWARE.
If you use w3perl regularly or if you like the package, it may be nice to register. You may NOT copy (except for personal use) or distribute the package if it has been registered.

Send me an email if you are using my package please. More people will use my package, more I will work on ;)

PS : If you now are using an improved version of w3perl, is especially because there some people who encouraged me to continue its development by sending me a registration fee. I freely distribute the new version instead of sending it only to registered users because this is the spirit of ShareWare: I hope I will not regret of this choice!

Registering

To register you simply have to send the author a registration fee (in the form of bank notes, or cheques) of not less than 5 pounds, 15.000 lire, 20 marks, 10 US dollars, 50 francs, 25 Nlg or equivalent (licence for commercial web site is $50).

Registered versions of w3perl may have additional features that are not supplied with the unregistered version. I will send you two more optional scripts, one which compute sessions and the other which compute the URL-title conversion and make some stats about the HTML documents stored in your Web.

Commercial purpose

Commercial sites should inform me they want to use my package.
To use it, you will have to choose between :

paying a $10 registration for allowing free accesses to your w3perl output and having a link to the w3perl homepage from your own homepage.
paying a $50 licence for a protected use of w3perl for one year and single user.

Note you'll receive the last two scripts from the distribution (cron-session.pl and cron-url.pl).
If you are running several Web on your server (eg : virtual hosts on Apache), contact me for multiple user licence.
