TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS for AMERICANS.

This web page is set up with the restrictions and warnings to Americans in traveling around the world. The following 7 countries NO American can travel to or from unless they have a rarely granted permit.
Cuba.
Iran.
Iraq.
Libya.
North Korea.
Serbia.
Sudan.
No American can bring into any item from above countries except informational materials (books, film, recordings or pamphlets.). They cannot bring any thing back from Iraq, not even te informational materials.
The US State Department sends out warnings from time to time about traveling to other countries. The following is a list as posted on 12/25/02 of the warnings and the date issued. They asked that no American should travel to any of the countries but there are no laws saying that you can not. If you would like to see the list any time click here. If you would like to receive an e-mail when they add a new warning click here. This list will list all warnings for the last year unless the State Department removes one. New ones will be added when they comes out.

Afghanistan - 11/18/02.

Central African Republic - 10/31/02.
Indonesia - 10/19/02.
Libyya (2nd listing) - 10/7/02.
Somalia - 8/23/02.
Angola - 8/23/02.
Pakistan (2nd listing). - 8/12/02.
Burundi - 8/9/02.
Nigeria - 8/8/02.
Isreal - 8/2/02.
West Bank and Gaza - 8/2/02.
Sudan - 7/9/02.
Columbia - 7/3/02.
Congo-Kinshasa - 7/1/02.
Pakistan - 6/26/02.
Bosnia & Herzegovina - 6/4/02.
Macedonia - 5/21/02.
Liberia - 5/21/02.
Iran - 1/30/02.
You should try not to go to the above countries.
The State Department also sends out some Public Announcements about terrorist threats and other short-term conditions for the use of Americans. They last from 2 to 3 months. If you care to see this list go to the travel warnings web site listed above. On 12/25/02 there were 17 listed.
