This web site is set up to handle the different Motor Vehicle Plates. of the 50 US states.  

 

Column #1 Term of license.  Column #2 Cost. Column #3 Is inspection required. (If so check

the code below). Column $4 Are special plates issued (extra cost will be entered.)  Column

# 5 Does the state require the plates to be on both ends of vehicle. Column #6 What comes

with plates  when you sell the vehicle.(see code below). Column #7 Minimum insurance in

thousands (see code below.)

Insurance Codes: A=20-40-10, B=50-100-25, C=50-30-10, D=25-50-25,

E=30-15-5, F=25-50-15, G=10-20-10, H=15-30-10, I=20-40-15, J=25-50-10,

K=20-40-5, L=30-60-10, M=10-20-5, N=15-30-5, O=30-60-25, P=13-25-8,

Q=25-15-20, R=25-50-20.

 

All states issue Amateur Radio Special plates but under different rules in the  

Different states.

 

Inspection Code:  A=emission.. B=emission only large cities. C=Safety. D+

General inspection when new registration.   E=emission only large cities but

Safety all state.

In all state any officer can stop and make a safety inspection.    

 

Plate Transfer.  *1=Must be removed and may be transferred to another vehicle

If fees are paid, otherwise back to state. *2=Plates goes with the car when sold.

*3=Old owner may transfer to another vehicle. *4=All plates has to be return to

the state in a short time. *5=Plates are for old owner only and he has to remove

them.  *6=Plates can not be transferred from old owner to new owner. Old owner

can place on a new vehicle.  *7=Remove plates & pay a fee and place on another

vehicle. *8=When sold plates are removed and destroyed and a note sent to the

state. *9=Plates expired when sold. *10=Plates may be removed and transferred.
