The web site is a short article on our planet earth.
The earth takes 365 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes, 9.54 seconds to make one rotation around the sun. This make each year 365 days and every 4 years one extra day. By doing this we end up with 36.636 minutes lost each leap year. This is makd up every even number 100 year by adding another leap year. Even doing this we are still short and in the year 3001 we have to add another extra day. That make a double leap year. If you are around then you will see something that only happen every 1,000 year.
The earth makes one rotation each 23 hours, 56 minutes, 4.09 seconds. The months have different days each so that the year comes out with 365 days.
The earth is about 93 million miles from the sun.
The earth weighs 6,600,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 short tons This is made up with only 107 elements. See article about this on this web under "Codes".
As the diameter from the north pole to the south pole 7,899.83 miles and the circumference of 24,859,82 miles is less than at the equatorial diameter 7,926.41 miles and circumference 24,901.55 miles you can see it is bigger at the equator. Also as the earth is about 24,000 miles around and the earth takes 24 hours to rotate the time zone are about 1,000 miles at the equator.
The highest point is Mt Everest at 29,028 feet and the lowest ocean floor is -36,198 feet near the island of Guam. As you can see this is lower than Mt Everest is tall. The lowest ground is in the Dead Sea 1,301 feet below sea level.Water cover 71 % of total surface. Total area is 196,800,000 sq. miles.
The atmosphere is about 3/4 nitrogen and 1/4 oxygen. The earth itself is made up with almost 1/2 oxygen. Most of the rest is made up of Silcon and Aluminum with a little of all the other items.
Highest temperature ever recorded was 136 degrees in Libya and the lowest -128.6 degree in Antarctica.

Earth has one moon. See article about the moon on this web sub heading under "Moon". The earth circles the Milky Way once about every 250 million years. The earth is off center with a tilt of 23 1/2 degree so we can have seasons. One trip around the sun (one year) we will travel 595 million miles at 66,600 miles a hour.
