MEATBALLS FOR DINNER

Small pieces of ground beef in a sauce can be added to almost any nice meal. We call them meatballs but they may not be in the shape of a ball. This sauce can be spread over almost any item as a main item of the meal.
There will two different recipe so that German or Italian meatball sauce can be made,
ITALIAN MEATBALLS FOR DINNER
1 egg.
2 tablespoons
1/4 teaspoon dried crushed mint.
1 pound ground lamb or beef.
3/4 cup bread crumbs.
1/2 teaspoon instant beef bouillon.
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
1/2 cup tomato sauce.
8 ounce tomatoes, chopped up.
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon cooking oil.
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt.
1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Mix egg, bread crumbs milk, mint, salt, pepper, meat, 1/2 of the chopped onion. Shape into the shape and size that you want.
Cook until no pink remains.
In another bowl combine or dish the balance of the onion, garlic, and oil. Cook until tender and then stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, parsley, bouillon, and cinnamon. Cook until heated through out.
Add meat and cook for a few minutes until meat is done. Serve over what you have as main course. You now have the Italian meatball.
GERMAN
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
1 pound ground beef, or lamb.
1/3 cup finely chopped onion.
1/2 cup gingersnap, crushed.
2 1/4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce.
16 ounce can tomato sauce.
2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons water.
1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Mix beef (or lamb), 1/2 cup gingersnaps, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and pepper. Shape into the shape that you want, (meatballs). Cook until no pink is showing.
Make sauce by mixing tomato sauce, balance of the gingersnaps, brown sugar, and vinegar.
Now combine the meat and sauce and stir the meat sauce over cooked cabbage, green pepper or some other food for a main meal. For a true German flavor, use cabbage.
